Free Show: ARMS, Liturgy, more

Last week I interviewed Todd Goldstein of indie pop outfit ARMS about his band’s upcoming album among other things. Tomorrow night offers the first of many chances to see the quartet in the next month as they prep their debut full-length, Summer Skills. Over at Union Pool, they’ll be playing a free show with some other cool local talent: Liturgy, Naam, and Your Youth, with Shy Child DJing.

So what can you expect? Well, a free show with four good local bands? That sounds good to me. From previewing some tracks, the night is going to just get heavier as it goes on, so bring earplugs. While Your Youth and ARMS are opening the night with poppier indie rock, Naam and then Liturgy will be closing out in beautiful, brutal fashion. It could get weird.

Doors are at 8pm, and Your Youth will kick off the show at 9. And once again, it’s free. Be there.
