Free Show: Twin Sister open for Ferris Bueller

Twin Sister play a free show tomorrow evening in McCarren Park as the opening entertainment for SummerScreen’s free showing of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. They’ll be going on promptly at 7:15, after openers Your Youth, who go on at 6:15. SummerScreen, which is presented by EPIX, will be giving away a bunch of free stuff too, including an iPad 2 (a friend of mine won one last week at the screening of Ghost World!), so you’ll want to get there early for the free stuff. There’s lots of info on all the stuff they’re giving away here on the SummerScreen website (there’s also conflicting set times from the press release I received, so you may want to split the difference).

Twin Sister are a Pitchfork-approved Brooklyn quintet that are set to release their debut full-length, Heaven, this September via Domino. They’ve just returned from a tour including a stop in Chicago for Pitchfork Music Festival.

Check out the first song from the upcoming LP, “Bad Street,” below. They’ll also be premiering the music video for this track tomorrow night.
